We could sit here and talk all day about our passion for exercise and healthy lifestyles. We could bore you with statistics about the correlation between fitness and longevity, and cite medical journals and health magazines in our quest to prove our point. We could go on and on about how excited we are about this race or that upcoming event, but eventually we think you’d get tired of always hearing about us.
We’ve told you our stories; now we want to hear yours. We know people, and maybe you do, too – people whose journeys to healthier ways of living have been inspiring, even life-changing. Someone who has overcome a lifetime of overeating, for example, to eventually lose over one hundred pounds has a story to tell. A grandmother who starts cycling or running and competes in her first-ever organized race has a story to tell. A granddad who starts exercising and eating right so he can be healthier and more active with his grandkids has a story to tell.
Sometimes, seeing or reading about someone else who has overcome odds even greater than your own can inspire you to action. And sometimes, sharing your own success story can not only validate your own efforts, but also give you the opportunity to encourage and motivate others.
Everybody’s got a story. What’s yours? What inspired you to make a change? Where did you start, and where are you now? How did you do it? Who supported you along the way? How did you keep yourself motivated? How has your life changed? What do you want to tell other people?
If you’ve got a health and fitness success story to tell, we’d like to help you share it. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d like to hear from you. And we think a lot of other people would, too.
